Gumdrop’s On-the-go are launched in Bangor, Wales.

Gwynedd Council, Bangor City Council, The Wrigley Company Limited and Keep Wales Tidy will be working together with Gumdrop Ltd for the next few months with the aim to inspire and educate the public about the possibilities of recycling chewing gum, whilst cleaning up Bangor’s streets.
On the 20th December 2013 and 10th January 2014 Gumdrop Ltd representatives will be painting the town pink, and giving away 6,000 Gumdrops On-the-go in the town centre of Bangor, Wales. This will enable the residents of Bangor to recycle their gum wherever they are. 10 Drop-boxes will be situated along Bangor High Street in participating retailers so that chewers can easily drop off their Gumdrops once they are full, ready for recycling.

Participating Retailers are: Castle Bakery – G.Williams A’i Fab – Gerrards – Antoniazzi’s – Cafe Nero – William Hill – Pontio – Forrest – £ Bakers – Crumbs

By recycling a little the people of Bangor can help a lot, as each Gumdrop On-the-go that is returned to a Drop-box will not only help towards the gum litter clean up campaign in Bangor, but each Gumdrop On-the-go that is returned will be recycled for the production of large Gumdrop Bins which will then be donated to schools and colleges throughout Bangor, making every DROP count.
Throughout the duration of the trial Gumdrop Ltd will be continuing their ‘Share Your Drop’ competition, where chewers are encouraged to send in pictures of them dropping their gum into their Gumdrop On-the-go in order to be entered into a prize draw where they can see the closed loop effect of Gumdrop by winning a Gum-tec product.
