Chewing gum litter has been taking over for too long now, with sticky white splodges plastering our playgrounds, pavements, desks and chairs, littering our lunches. You don’t have to suffer any longer, no longer will you have to fear for every seat you sit on, for every finger run under a desk. Join swansea Council’s ‘Give gum a second life’ Campaign today. The Gumdrop Bin will be your knight in shining pink armour as it tackles chewing gum litter head on by encouraging chewers to adopt an effortless system of  disposal

The Gumdrop is the first bin in the world that is not only designed specifically for the collection of waste chewing gum, but is also made with your recycled chewing gum. Chewers simply dispose of their used chewing gum into a Gumdrop Bin, once full it is recycled into a new material, Gum-tec. Gum-tec is then used to manufacture new Gumdrop Bins and many other plastic products, the cycle starts again. Swansea Council will sponsor up to 15 schools to take part in the campaign that will look to educate and inspire the younger generation to start recycling their chewing gum with Gumdrop Bins. The schools and colleges involved will be given Gumdrop Bins to install at their premises a long with educational plans and ideas to get students involved. The Campaign will launch on the 3 November 2014. We strongly believe that education is key to change. We strive to educate the younger generation on the possibilities of recycling chewing gum as this will aid us in a cleaner, greener future. By working together we can all tackle gum litter head on. Join us today to kick-start your Gumdrop process.

Swansea Council will sponsor the first 15 schools and colleges to contact us. Get Gumdrop Bins installed at your school and be part of the ‘Give gum a second life’ Campaign.
